RealLegal has revolutionized the storage and distribution of information for the legal
industry. We provide court reporters, attorneys, and journalists with the tools necessary
for viewing, annotating, and distributing transcripts -- quickly and easily.
We recognize the sensitivity of legal information and have therefore implemented security
measures to protect against loss of data and unauthorized access. Caution should always be

RealLegal follows the accepted principles of privacy protection. Since we have only recently
begun offering Web-based applications, we are currently pursuing privacy certification with
a globally-recognized program.
You can print (click the right button on your mouse and select Print from the menu) and

Like many Web sites, RealLegal collects broad demographic information based on IP addresses
to help us administer our site and diagnose problems. An IP address delivers information such
as where you go on the Web site and how long you stay, but it does not render personal
information.
We request personal information when you download or run software from the RealLegal
Web site, or when you request information on products and services. We store a cookie on
your hard drive when you use our Shopping Cart feature. A cookie is a small bit of
information that allows us to track your purchases and how often you return to a specific
Web page.
RealLegal does not store personal information in cookies, so if someone else uses your
computer, the person cannot review the cookies stored on your machine and find information
you do not want them to see. You can set your browser to alert you before it accepts a
cookie. You then have the option to reject the cookie.
To set this option in Internet Explorer 5.0:
- Select Tools, Internet Options from the menu bar.
- Click the Security tab.
- Click the Internet icon (the globe).
- Click the Custom Level button.
- Scroll down to Cookies and click the Prompt option.
- Click the Apply button.

Registering at our site makes it easier for you to find specific information, and it
gives us a means to notify you of product enhancements. Our site registration form requests

information, we create your profile based on the product registration data.
You can browse the RealLegal Web site even if you choose not to enter personal information.

RealLegal will eventually offer chat rooms, forums, message boards, and news groups.
Information that you disclose in these is public. You should use discretion when communicating
in electronic venues. It is recommended that you do not disclose personal information in
chat rooms, forums, message boards, and news groups.
RealLegal employs firewalls, encryption software, and other security software to prevent
unauthorized access to our systems and data. Physical access to our servers is restricted.

You can modify or update your personal information after you log in to the site with your
user name and password. Please do not send financial information, for example, credit card
numbers, or user identification numbers and passwords to us via e-mail. Keep in mind that
when we request financial or personal information from you we encrypt it before transmission
and store it in secure servers.
